JazzAddict is a fun, high-energy jazz programme that introduces dancers to the foundations of jazz technique. Under this jazz syllabus by APDA, dancers develop coordination, strength, flexibility, and musicality while learning age-appropriate steps, turns, jumps, and stylised movement. Classes encourage confidence, performance, and self-expression in a supportive and engaging environment.

Junior Jazz 1
Junior Jazz
Junior Jazz 1 (6-7 years): Tuesday 5.00 - 5.45pm
Junior Jazz 2 (7-8 years): Tuesday 4.00 - 4.45pm
Junior Jazz 3 (9-10 years): Wednesday 5.00pm - 5.45pm
Junior jazz classes focus on basic jazz technique through fun movement and simple choreography. Classes build coordination, musicality, confidence, and body awareness in an encouraging environment, with an emphasis on enjoyment and learning how to move to music. These classes are energetic 45 minute classes. Students also learn to do impromptu work.
Jazz students have the opportunity to enter APDA examinations.

Primary Jazz
Saturday 10.00 - 10.30am
A fun 30 minute class, once a week for kids aged 5-6 years. Children will be taught the basics of jazz in a creative environment, including simple sequences to upbeat popular music.

Jazz students will have the opportunity to enter APDA examinations.

Combine this class with PrePrimary Ballet or Primary Ballet for just $255 (save $30)

Elementary Jazz
Elementary 1 Jazz (10+ years): Wednesday 4.00 - 5.00pm
Elementary 2 Jazz (12+): Monday 5.00 - 6.00pm
Elementary 3 Jazz (13+): Monday 6.45 - 7.45pm
Elementary jazz classes are the next step up and classes are one hour. Dancers begin to develop stronger technique, improved control and greater accuracy. Steps become more detailed, combinations are longer, and there is more focus on performance quality, strength, and flexibility. Elementary dancers are encouraged to show more style, expression, and confidence as they progress. Elementary dancers must have the maturity to create and perform student-led choreography.

Note: Elementary 1 is also for students with different dance experience or teens just starting jazz.

Term fees $165 (Elementary 2 & 3). From Elementary 2 upwards, a weekly conditioning class is required.
Intermediate 1 Jazz
Monday 7.45 - 8.45pm
A fast paced 1 hour class, once a week for students aged 14+ years.

Dancers focus on refining technique, increasing strength, flexibility, and control, and learning more complex steps, turns, and jumps. Classes emphasise musicality, performance quality, and expressive style, helping dancers gain confidence and polish while tackling longer, more challenging choreography.

Jazz shoes required - tan.
Term fees $165. A weekly conditioning class is also required.
Conditioning
Monday 6.00 - 6.45pm
​
Conditioning classes build the strength, flexibility balance, and stamina needed for more complex movement. This weekly class supports safe training, helps prevent injury and improves technique in things like turns and jumps by strengthening supporting muscles and stabilising joints.
​
Please bring a yoga mat.
Term fees $75.
Open Jazz: turns, jump & leaps
Tuesdays 6.30 - 7.15pm
Specialised 45 minute class for intermediate to senior dance students. This is an open class for dancers to really push themselves and better their leaps, jumps and turn technique.​ Whilst jazz based, this class would benefit ballet and contemporary dancers too.
