Classes during alert levels

Classes will resume at Te Tuhi under the Traffic Light System, Expressions Dance will be following guidelines from ExerciseNZ and DANZ. Some key changes at Red traffic light setting include:

  • Stay home if unwell

  • Stay home if you have been in contact with any known or suspected cases of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

  • Sign in using My Vaccine Pass in Te Tuhi foyer (parents and students 12 years +)

  • With parents permission we will keep a record of students vaccination status on file, so we only need to validate it once as opposed to every time students attend class. The only information we will keep is that we have validated your My Vaccine Pass and its expiry date.

  • Sanitise hands before the start of each class

  • QR codes will be displayed on entry to Te Tuhi and on Expressions Dance studio door.

  • Arrive and leave promptly before and after class, classes will finish 5 - 8 minutes early to manage the flow of students to and from the studio and give teachers time to wipe down and clean equipment in between classes.

  • Parents of older students to drop off / pick up from outside Te Tuhi main entrances. Younger students should be walked around to the studio by only one parent / caregiver with no other siblings present.

  • Keep your distance from others whilst in the te tuhi building.

  • Students to bring own equipment such as yoga mats / blocks / resistance bands etc

  • Parents must drop and collect children promptly before and after class to help reduce numbers in the building, children cannot sit and wait in the foyer unaccompanied for extended periods before and after class.

  • Some classes may swap rooms to allow for physical distancing.

  • Air conditioning will be turned off, and windows / doors open to encourage ventilation.

  • We will ensure class numbers meet physical distancing and any additional Alert level requirements.
